He works in accounting software company for 25 years as software engineer.
He is playing Hattrick since 2003, and he has three teams, all in Estonia and in his real region Raplamaa. All his teams use only players from its own youth pull. He has been twice U-20 Estonian coach and both times they advanced to second round. First he was Mod for year and now GM since 2013.
Interview with GM-Kermo (Done by Franfer)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oV2Nqj5C9w0
GM-Kermo, Estonian, gave us the opportunity to interview him, an
opportunity that we were not going to miss .In the interview, topics such as
the canteranization of a team are approached, something quite interesting for
the reader. Also his experience as part of the Staff. And a lot of SPAM to Pablito
... ^^
1. You are in Hattrick more years than the green color. Did you take part of the famous coven in Stockholm, in which the arrival of Pablito on the web could be foreshadowed, didn´t you?
I'm sorry, I didn't. But I participated in 20th Anniversary Staff meeting in Malmö, Sweden in 2017, where I met lots of old friends and got several new friends all over world. I love Hattrick, because it gives me opportunity to meet a lot of new people and make new friends. I have been in staff meetings in Athens and Praha and also previously mentioned Malmö. Sometimes I meet my friends in Estonian and Latvian summer meetings. Last year was unhappy, because nobody in Estonia or Latvia wanted to organize summer meeting. I hope this year somebody steps out and makes it happen. I have very good friends in Hattrick and we regularly get together in my home in Raplamaa and make some sauna, drink beer and talk about Hattrick.
2. I have been told that, in real life, you do your job as an engineer in financial software. I've never mentioned it, but do you know "El Bigotes" and the money junkie?
This term is not known for me. In our company I am responsible for user interface screens in program and printed report forms. Also I'm responsible for some client specific applications. I work in Sysdec since 1994 and I love my job. At first our program SAF was written in FoxPro, then in Visual Basic and now it uses .NET and we have also SAF in WEB platform, it is work in progress.
3. In the previous interview you assume that you have three teams in Hattrick, all in Estonia. Is it true they call you the indigenous GM?
I think it is true. I live in Estonia, all my three teams are in Estonia and all my team players are Estonians from own youth pulls. Do you know how hard it is to get nasty, nice, honest and dishonest achievements with only own youth pulls? Hahaa!
4. I have the impression that all your teams consist of own youth players. Among so many youth players, do you remember which or which ones have been the most prominent?
My best player of all times is Marten Kaljo in my main FC IruFlora team.
He has played 48 games for NT and 21 games for U-20. He has Divine (+7) experience, head specialty, mythical PM and world class wing, he has scored 77 goals and 2 hat tricks.
5. How has been in general your relationship with the staff? Do you know members of the Spanish Staff? Any Estonian trolls to highlight? And spammer who disputes the title to Pablito?
I have very good relationship with other staff members. All Estonian staff members have been visiting me in my humble house in Raplamaa. Also Italian GM-Carvaldo is my best friend and he visited me in April 2018. We had together Old-Tallinn's Bar Tour and he first time tried what it feels to jump into pool after sauna, when it is covered with ice. I haven't met any Spanish staff closely yet, but maybe this year I meet them in next staff meeting.
When I was MOD, then I encountered several bad trolls in forum, but it was long time ago and some of them turned out to be decent people and even participated in meetings in my place, so I won't name them here.
I think there is no bigger spammer around then Pablito, he is Spammer El Grande.
6. How was your experience as a U20 Manager? The chattering classes say that you presume in inner circles that you are the only one responsible for Estonia being a great national team.
When I was U-20 coach, then I had little team around me, who helped me to scout players, write game resumes and helped with tactics. It was like little company. We talked in chat room, gathered in our U-20 Klubi federation and even met in real life to talk about upcoming matches. It was a great time and I miss it.
7. What do you know about Spain? Apart from the party, the good weather, the Andalusian gazpacho, the sangria and the SPAM coming from Extremadura.
About 15 years ago I visited Spain's Canary Islands and Tenerife with my family several times. We had a good time there and with very nice warm weather. We visited the Delphinium show and participated in a Jeep safari, and also rented car for traveling around the island.
8. Tell us about your hobbies. I presume you're very familiar, but what do you usually do in your free time?
My hobby is watching TV and listen music. Just ended watching Breaking Bad last year and it was so good series! This year I have tickets to Rammstein and Judas Priest summer concerts in Tallinn and maybe I will buy ticket to Whitesnake concert also. I like different kind of music starting from 80-ies disco and ending with hard rock.
Also I love to solve draughts puzzles with my youngest son Kris, he is 13 years old and 8 times Estonian Champion in draughts.
9. Stephane, who translates this interview into English, is more Valencian than ninots. What do you think of Valencia? Do you think they'll get far this time in Champions?
I visited UEFA Super Cup finals game with my son, when Real Madrid and Athletico Madrid played in Tallinn 2 years ago and Atletico won in extra time 4-2 Hahaa! Usually I don't follow Champions League games, only when I bet on them in online casino. When there is time for European Championship or World Championship, then I'll try to watch all games, if it is possible (finals games are usually in same time, so then it is not possible to see all games). I think Valencia has his potential and if they have a little bit of luck, then they can go far every time, not only this year
10. What has Hattrick ever brought to your life?
Mostly lots of new real life friends and exciting meetings all over the world.
Last year was little bit different for me and I had to suspend my GM work for 6 months, because I was in sick list and spend lot of time in hospital. My best Hattrick friends visited me in hospital and in my home and their spirits were with me, when I was recovering from hard sickness.
I love Hattrick, I am 53 years old and a grandpa and I think I will stay with Hattrick until the end.
